The pace of decline in the US services sector eased in May, according to the latest industry index on Wednesday which posted its best reading for the sector in seven months. The Institute of Supply Management said that its non-manufacturing index rose to 44.0 in May from 43.7 percent the previous month -- the highest reading since October.
